Outbreaks Limit Visitors To Care Homes

Interior Health is reporting influenza outbreaks at 11 residential care facilities in its region, including two in Vernon.

The local facilities are Gateby and Down’s Residence.

People wanting to visit relatives or friends at sites with outbreaks are asked to postpone it until later.

The agency says four deaths directly linked to the flu outbreak have been reported at care facilities in its area this season.
