Vernon Mayor Optimistic Of 2018 Economic Growth

Vernon’s Mayor is optimistic economic development in Vernon will continue to grow.

Akbal Mund says the business landscape is slowly changing as a lot of smaller businesses open up.

“There’s a lot of interest in, you know, the Okanagan as a whole. With Kelowna becoming more and more saturated, and you’re seeing it in Lake Country now and I’m sure you’ll see it in Vernon. Well, we already had it in Vernon but you’ll probably see more people moving to the area.

He figures the next five years will show a lot of strength.
