Rail Trail Key For Lake Country In 2018

Lake Country Mayor James Baker sees development of the Okanagan Rail Trail as a major component of his council’s work early in 2018.

He expects donations and grants to keep coming in to help finish the trail on schedule.

Baker expects the trail to be an economic driver once amenities are in place.

“It’s going to be pretty much bare bones to start with but as I say we have to get people on the trail with places for them to park or at least have bus routes to enable them to get their bikes there as well as themselves.”
