Enderby Mayor Plans To Run Again

The Mayor of Enderby says he’s been enjoying his duties and he’d like to continue.

Civic elections are going to be held this fall and Greg McCune expects he’ll be running again.

“I believe I’m going to. It looks like all of my council’s going to be intact. they all want to run again. So that’s great news. I think we’re a great team. I’m honoured to work with them. I think moving forward if they’re all in, absolutely, I will be.”

McCune says when he goes to other communities he’s reminded about how close knit Enderby is and he likes being part of the passion.

“You know to have the same ideals, the same beliefs and the same vision, we kind of do. We have a lot of long time people that can see  and they’re passionate about where Enderby is going.”

He says he’s learned not to get wrapped up in government

“I don’t consider myself a politician. I guess that’s probably a great gift. We’re here just as representatives of the citizens of Enderby just trying to make their lives better. And if you keep it that simple, it’s kind of fun.”

McCune admits if things don’t work it can get difficult.

He feels the he does best by being involved with the community while letting the administration take care of the government work.
