Major Storm Expected
It’s the calm before what could be a major storm.
Environment Canada is issued a snowfall warning for much of southern BC, which will hit the Okanagan hard.
Meteorologist Lisa West says a low pressure system will move across the BC-US border, which will set-up a significant snowfall event.
“The snow is going to begin near or just after midnight in the Okanagan. It might start off quite light, but it will intensify throughout the day on Tuesday and particularly in the afternoon and evening hours. It will continue through until Wednesday morning. Total amounts from this system are looking like 10 to 20 centimetres fro midnight tonight to Wednesday morning,” West tells Beach Radio.
