Vipers Solid in Win Over Salmon Arm

Dec 9, 2017 | 6:33 AM

In BCHL action last night the Salmon Arm Silverbacks scored first on the Power Play but that was it for the night as Sam Anzai would pot an empty netter with 5 seconds left in the game to seal off a 3-1 win.

Ty Taylor, making 21 saves out of 22 shots earned Third Star, from a very stingy star selection group.

Tonight the Vipers host the Penticton Vees for the annual teddy bear toss night sponsored by KISS-FM.

If you can’t attend the game we’ll have BDM Motorsports Vipers play by play with Graham Turnbull and the Pre-Game show beginning at 5:45.

In the KIJHL the North Okanagan Knights defeated the 100 Mile House Wranglers 5-3.  Ben Jossinet had 2 goals and 1 assist on the night while Cole Haberlack had a 3 assist performance.

In the WHL the Kelowna Rockets, on a 4 game Prairie swing…first stop a 7-5 win in Regina. Leif Mattson had 2 goals for the Rockets good enough for First Star. Tonight the Rockets are in Brandon.
