Light Those Bulbs!
The money continues to come in for the Light a Bulb Campaign.
The Vernon Jubilee Hospital Foundation says $162,249 in donations have been received ($162,249) towards the goal of a quarter million dollars.
The funding will be used to purchase endoscopes for cancer screening equipment.
The Armstrong/Spallumcheen Health Care Auxiliary helped boost the campaign to 65% of the goal with a 40-thousand dollar donation using proceeds from its thrift shop and Bargain Bin.
“It’s a wonderful testament to the spirit of our community to see what a dedicated group of volunteers and supportive community members can do,” says Lisa Westermark, VJH Foundation Executive Director.
