Vernon RCMP Score Major Firearm and Drug Bust

Vernon RCMP confirm Taras Becker has been convicted in relation to a number of drug and firearm offenses dating back to April 8th of this year.

At that time members of the Vernon North Okanagan RCMP stopped a vehicle to arrest the passenger on outstanding warrants.

Both the passenger and driver attempted to flee from police on foot however were arrested nearby. A search of the vehicle led to the seizure of a loaded .22 semi-automatic pistol.

Investigators then executed a search warrant on a storage locker in relation to the males, where additional firearms, drugs and stolen property was seized.
