VSS Jr. Varsity Panthers First Ever Provincial Championship

The Vernon Panthers came up big for the big one giving the school their first ever Provincial Championship as they dominated the Ballenas Whalers of Parksville 36-8 in the B.C. AA Junior Varsity Subway Bowl Championship Saturday.

Everyone was clicking, including special teams recovering a fumble on the first kick-off of the game and it just got better as the Panthers kept rolling up the score leading at one time 36-0.

This game couldn’t end soon enough for Ballenas, who did manage to get on the scoreboard with a two point conversion TD late in the game.

Running back Matthew Reich scored two touchdowns on the day.
