Mayor Won’t Mess With Appointments

Vernon’s mayor won’t make any major changes to his committee appointments heading into city council’s fourth and final year of their mandate.

Akbal Mund says that will include keeping himself, Brian Quiring, Catherine Lord and Juliette Cunningham as the city’s Regional District of North Okanagan board directors.

“We’ve done some good work at RDNO. We’ve brought more parks areas over. We seem to be working well with other jurisdictions, so I believe in keeping it consistent, so we can continue to work in a positive way that is beneficial for Greater Vernon,” Mund tells Kiss FM.

Mund, along with Cunningham and Bob Spiers will continue to be Vernon’s reps on the Greater Vernon Advisory Committee which deals with parks, recreation, culture and water issues.
