Vipers Beat Silverbacks 6-3
Nov 4, 2017 | 2:54 AM
Shorthanded! That’s the best word to describe the Vernon Vipers 6-3 win over the Salmon Arm Silverbacks. Not only were the S’backs missing a number of key players and were shorthanded going into this game…the Vernon Vipers scored three shorthanded goals in cruising to the win.
Jesse Lansdell was named the game’s first star with a Gordie Howe hat trick, scoring once, setting up another and scrapping near the end of the game. Keyvan Mokhtari was buzzing all over the ice making plays at both ends including scoring a goal to earn second star honours and Jordan Sandhu scored twice to grab the game’s 3rd star.
Vernon Vipers are in action tonight (Saturday) when they play host to the West Kelowna Warriors beginning at 6pm at Kal Tire Place.
