Vipers / Vees Tie after 2 X OT…Fans Winners
The fans knew it was going to be a barn burner last night and the Vipers and Vees didn’t disappoint. Two overtime periods couldn’t settle it as the teams ended up tied 2 all.
Penticton grabbed the first 2 goals, then the Vipers responded with 2 unanswered goals to tie it in regulation and it stayed that way through the two overtime periods.
Niko Karamanis was named First Star getting one of the Vipers goals. Keyvan Mokhtari notched the tying goal with just 6 minutes left in the 3rd. .
Ty Taylor stopped 26 of 28 shots for the Snakes in the nets earning Third Star.
In the KIJHL the North Okanagan Knights dropped a close one on the road in Princeton 2-1 to the Posse.
In the WHL Dillon Dube got the overtime winner as the Kelowna Rockets edged out a 4-3 victory over the Prince George Cougars.
