Vipers Thrill Fans With Home Opener

In BCHL play last night it was a back and forth thriller with the Vernon Vipers coming back to win their home opener downing Salmon Arm 6-5 in front of a rockin`crowd.

Big night for Jimmy Lambert going 2 and 3 including the short-handed tying goal and game winner about 2 minutes later, earning First Star. Brett Stapley nailed Second Star with 2 goals, 2 assists.

With just 8 seconds left in the game Vernon`s Shane Kelly and Salmon Arm’s Justin Wilson decided to make a statement on behalf of their teams and went at it toe to toe getting Fighting Majors as well as Game Misconducts.
