Hospice Society Fundraiser: Construction Edition!

Jul 15, 2017 | 2:51 PM

Today Molly and Camryn from your KISS FM Events Crew were at Butcher Boys for their annual Hospice Society Fundraiser!

Every year, this event is hosted in memory of Chris Huculak. Chris was the store-manager and an active member of our community. After a rigorous battle with cancer, Chris passed away on September 27th 2008.

Today’s event saw an impressive turnout and an outpouring of support!

A local band, Armonia, kept everyone singing and dancing while they enjoyed shopping, bidding, and eating.

There were also activities for all ages such as face painting, manicures, and haircuts. The BX Fire Department was also on location barbecuing smokies, hot dogs, pulled pork, and burgers! The barbecue and bake sale certainly satisfied everyone’s cravings!

A silent auction with over 200 items also helped contribute towards the fundraising goal. There were items for everyone including wakeboards, paddleboards, and golf clubs!

As per usual, the crew was busy playing Vernon’s Best Music and handing out our Summer of Savings Coupon Books! If you missed your chance to snag a book, tune into 107.5 KISS FM to hear where we will be handing them out next!

Thank you to all the staff, volunteers, and attendees who made this event a success! We hope to see you at the next annual Hospice Fundraiser!
