Games Torch Lighting Ceremony

The countdown to the 55 Plus BC Games will start next month.

The organizing committee will hold a torch lightning ceremony and reception in downtown Vernon June 17th to mark less than 100 days to the event September 12 to 16.

The event is expected to bring 3,500 athletes, officials and supporters to the area to compete in 27 sports in Greater Vernon and Armstrong.

The torch lightning will be at 3 pm June 17th on 30th Avenue in downtown Vernon.

The reception will be at Marten’s Brewpub 1:30-2:30 pm the same day.
