Pickleball Progress?
Pickleball players in Vernon anxious for a new facility may see some progress from local government soon.
The Greater Vernon Advisory Committee is expected to get a staff report at their next meeting in May to update the Vernon Pickleball Club’s request for $500,000 in funding, and a site for new courts.
Regional District of North Okanagan CAO David Sewell says the report will provide cost estimates, and funding options.
“We’ve been told the costs by pickleball reps, but we want to get our own cost estimates, and what sources there could be,” says GVAC director Jim Garlick.
