RCMP and other agencies are still looking into a work site death in Lumby.
A man working at a small sawmill on Bell Avenue, suffered fatal injuries on Friday.
Trish Knight Chernecki from WorkSafe BC says they won’t be releasing any preliminary findings.
“The RCMP are still investigating. That’s being said, we will not be putting out an inspection report but we will be issuing an investigation incident report which will take several months.”
Knight Chernecki says they are taking that course of action due to the serious nature of the incident.
The BC Coroner’s Service is also investigating the death.
No other details about what happened — or the man’s name — have been released.
