Gas Bill Down

Gas prices in BC ranged from a low of 98.9 in Prince George, to a high of $1.29 in Kersley near Quesnel.

That’s according to gasbuddy.com which says the average price in the province is $1.16 a litre

Most Vernon stations are selling for $1.15.9, down a few cents from the week before.

The average price nationally is $1.06.

Including the change in gas prices in Vancouver during the past week, prices yesterday were 16.4 c/L higher than the same day one year ago and are 10.6 c/L lower than a month ago.

“Another quiet week ahead in the gasoline futures market leaves pump prices largely unaffected,” says Dan McTeague, GasBuddy senior petroleum analyst. “With no visible trends apparent on the direction of energy prices, given uncertainty over oil production and a slack in U.S. demand for gasoline, Canadians should expect too much activity at the pumps this week.”

“As such, Vancouver and the Lower Mainland are likely to see a 1 cent a litre rise, while major cities across western Canada, including Winnipeg, Calgary, Regina, Saskatoon, Edmonton and Kamloops could see a 2 cent decrease.
