Fatal Workplace Accident

Lumby RCMP and BC Ambulance Service were called to a business on Bell Ave in Lumby just after 10:30 am Friday.

An adult male worker at the business suffered fatal injuries while working.

One media report says it occurred at a small sawmill operation.

The BC Coroner’s Service, and WorkSafe BC have been notified.

“No other details are being released at this time. The initial investigation is still ongoing,” says Cst. Jocelyn Noseworthy.
