Another Suspicious Vehicle Fire in Vernon

There has been another suspicious vehicle fire in Vernon.

At 5:15 a.m. Vernon Fire Rescue was called to the 11-hundred block of 21st Avenue where a Chevy Astro van was on fire.

Captain Dan Walker says the RCMP are involved in an investigation on it now.

“It was fully involved and we knocked it down. It was determined that it is suspicious and it’s under the care of the RCMP now, they are investigating.”

Captain Walker couldn’t say if there may be someone purposely setting fire to vehicles.

“Not necessarily. There’s lots of variables so not necessarily, I wouldn’t say that at all.”
