Damage Total For Middleton Garage Fire

Investigators are still looking into the cause of Monday’s garage fire on Mt. Bulman Place in Vernon’s Middleton area.
Interim fire chief David Lind says it started in the garage, and the cause was not suspicious.
He says the garage was destroyed.
“The damage is estimated at $80,000 to the structure, and that doesn’t include the contents,” Lind tells Kiss FM.
A 2016 Toyota Prius that was parked in the garage, was also destroyed, which will add to the total.
The home owners, who weren’t home at the time it started, were insured.
Lind says Vernon Fire Rescue investigators are finished their work at the scene.
