New TV/Film Facility

The Okanagan Film Commission says it’s big news for TV and film productions in the valley.

Eagle Creek Studio, based out of Burnaby, plans to open a full service sound stage in Kelowna this year.

The company is currently in full production with the Amazon TV Series, The Man from High Castle.

Film Commissioner Jon Summerland says the facility will attract big productions and TV series, and create full time employment for many people.

“It will also create new businesses like prop shops, hair and make-up departments, for example,“ says Summerland. “I have been working on this from the beginning and am so pleased that we are so close to this kind of expansion of the production industry here in the Okanagan.”
