Local Business in Top Five

A Vernon business is making a name for itself on a provincial scale.

Vernon Teach and Learn is a top five finalist for the Best Company award, as part of the 14th annual Small Business BC Awards.

The winners in ten award categories will be announced February 23 at the Pan Pacific in Vancouver.

Communications manager Mark Blendheim says the awards recognize the outstanding achievements of BC businesses with fewer than 50 employees.

“This year, 699 nominations were received from 72 communities across the province. These businesses were given two months to gain as many votes as possible. Those who activated their communities and received the most votes have been named the Top 10,” says Blendheim.
