The Vernon Vipers have made a trade and released a goalie.
The Snakes have sent defenceman Carter Stephenson to the Salmon Arm Silverbacks for defenceman Cameron Trott and futures.

The 19 year old Trott is in his second season in the BCHL, recording 6 goals and 24 assists last season in 56 games.  This season, he has 3 goals and 3 assists in 19 games.

“The product of Anmore BC was part of the 2015 World Jr A Challenge Selection Camp as well as on the NHL preliminary watch list.   The 6’2 205 pound Trott is expected to join the Vipers on the ice Thursday,” says Todd Miller, Vipers Executive vice president.

Stephenson was in his first full season with the Snakes after spending time last season as an AP.

“Hanson who has already committed to Union for next season spent last season in the North American Hockey League where he was named an East Division All-Star and a member of the First Rookie Team.  He appeared in 34 games for the Aston Rebels posting a 2.28 goals against average and a save percentage of .914,” states Miller.

The Vipers start a three game road trip in Wenatchee Washington against the Wild Friday.
