A Kelowna resident had a very exciting birthday surprise.
The B.C. Lottery Corporation (BCLC) said Jesse Tanner of Kelowna won the top prize of $100,000 from a scratch and win ticket he received as a birthday present.
“Some of the tickets were $20 even and [I thought] that’s the only one that I won on, and then we found [the] winning ticket!” Tanner, who received several lottery tickets as a birthday gift, told BCLC.
After scratching the ticket and seeing the numbers, Tanner reportedly called BCLC and was advised to download the Lotto! App, which he did in order to check the ticket.
