One person injured in commercial building fire Friday morning

A fire that broke out at an outbuilding on a commercial property in Vernon caused significant damage and resulted in one person being injured.

Vernon Fire Rescue responded to reports of a fire in the 4700-block of 25th Avenue around 9:50 a.m. Friday, Nov. 29.

Crews arrived on the scene and found the structure fully aflame, and worked to get the fire under control, but the building still sustained significant damages.

One person, who was at the property when the fire started, suffered undisclosed injuries. They were treated by paramedics at the scene then taken to hospital for further treatment.
