Roads in Vernon are going to get a digital review.

The city has received a $44,000 federal grant to complete a digital pavement condition assessment for the city’s entire road network.

“Results of the city’s road pavement condition assessment will be used to prioritize projects based on rates of deterioration and assist in application of the right treatment for the right road at the right time,” a city news release stated.

Mayor Victor Cumming said the city’s road network is one of its most valuable assets and prudent management will provide a safe and functional transportation network.
