Body pulled from lake
An RCMP team has recovered a body from Okanagan Lake.
The dead person was located at a depth of 170 feet of water, about half a kilometre from the shores of Kelowna’s Gyro Beach.
“West Kelowna RCMP are now working with the B.C. Coroners Service to identify the deceased individual. Once an identification is made, police will then turn their focus on properly notifying the deceased’s family,” said Cpl. Jesse O’Donaghey of Kelowna RCMP.
RCMP were being assisted in an ongoing investigation by a sonar expert, who travelled to the Central Okanagan from Idaho Utah.
